Abundance That Sinks Ships

There are so many messages out there about salvation, repentance, producing good works, and having faith in God—all wonderful teachings from God’s precious holy written Word—but isn’t it interesting that when it was time for Jesus to choose his disciples, His first demonstration of kingdom power was to teach on the law of abundance and how to take a harvest (Luke 5:3-7). In fact, the catch of fish that Peter caught was so large it tore his nets and he needed the help of James and John to take in the catch. It also says in the same passage that the boats began to sink from the heavy load. Out of the many things Jesus could have used as an invitation to follow Him; He chose the message of abundance and then He followed the message with an extraordinary act of abundance.

The message of the kingdom encompasses abundance. Abundant life, abundant resources, abundant health, abundant grace, abundant power, abundant peace and so many other things too numerous to name. And out of all the things Jesus could have done to compel these young men to follow Him, it was an act of abundance that spoke to their hearts. The scripture says that amazement had seized Peter after the massive catch of fish (Luke 5:9). It was this act of abundance that caused Peter to repent for questioning the Lord’s command to cast his nets into the water after he had already endured a long night of effort to produce a catch yielding zero results.

The point is this; if we want to catch fish then we need to speak to people about God’s abundance.

When Jesus showed up in Peter’s boat, He didn’t point out Peter’s flaws, He spoke to Peter and His friends about the greatness of God and the abundance of the kingdom of God to meet every need; heal every heart; and change every life—in abundance. The message of God’s abundant goodness was more than enough to convict Peter of His sin. He certainly didn’t need Jesus to point out his faults; therefore, it is important for us to speak abundance into the lives of those God brings to us for comfort, for healing, for deliverance. We need to talk about how big our God is and share with the world that what He did for Peter and James and John, He can do for them and for their situation. All things are possible for anyone who chooses to believe (Mark 9:23).

God wants to show up in power for the lost in a big way and He especially wants to show up in abundance for His chosen ones. Does this mean we neglect to teach others about the need for repentance, or salvation, or blessing God with good works? Of course not, but when we need to capture the hearts of those God is seeking to bless. We need to go big with our messaging. Our testimony of God’s goodness should manifest amazement in the eyes and ears of the hearer. Yes, there will be times when we are to approach some in gentleness and with great caution, perhaps even treating them with kid gloves; but for the most part, we must be exuding the power of God in our personal lives and sharing what we know with others about the GREATNESS of God’s abundance. Abundant living! Abundant health! Abundant blessings! Abundant love! It is written in the good Book, “What no eye has seen, [and] no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived—God has prepared these things for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Woohoo! So the next time you have an opportunity to testify the love of Jesus to another soul, saved or unsaved, think about proclaiming the abundance of God to them and using examples from your own life that confirm His deep desire to amaze us with His goodness. I bet you’ll catch a lot more fish when you do.

Shifting Culture – Manifesting in the Plans of God

At What You Will™, we spend a lot of time covering kingdom principles that produce dynamic results. We teach Biblical concepts that show others how to take hold of God’s very best for daily living. By walking out the Word, we can all achieve powerful results for every situation. Right now, God is shifting things in the realm of the spirit, and He is compelling this ministry to expand our teaching to include dynamic results that shift culture and not only one’s personal sphere of influence. God is not only calling us to impact our families, but to impact our neighborhoods, our cities and even the nations. He is calling us to shift mindsets and to prepare the way for a manifestation of His glory that can only come through His people. It is time for us to be seated at the head of the table on the world’s stage. It is not His will that we continue to drink the dregs from the bottom of the cup.

What does it mean to shift culture?

Shifting culture means debunking demonic mindsets that keep governments, neighborhoods and families in a state of economic and spiritual bondage to strongholds of poverty, drug abuse, gender confusion, hopelessness, disease and fear to name a few. These strongholds can only be broken through kingdom principles found in God’s Word. A successful shift in culture is established when kingdom-based principles become the norm in a society and not the exception. As Christian’s, when we shift culture, we are correcting the way God is perceived in the earth by those who do not know Him. Kingdom living should be so contagious in a society that people outside the fellowship of God are compelled to acquire the “God-kind” of life they see us living. When the people in our spheres of influence can consistently see that the principles we apply to daily living really do work, they will seek out any means possible to understand who our God is and how they can come to know Him personally.

So how do we shift culture?

We shift culture by taking authority over the spheres of influence that are overrun by the demonic. Some of those spheres are entertainment and media, arts and music, education and medicine, politics and religion. It is our job as ambassadors of the Kingdom to lay the groundwork for the manifestation of God’s power in the earth. God is looking for a builder whose maker is the Lord Jesus. The Scripture teaches us that we are one with Jesus just as He is one with the Father. We are commissioned to be Christ in the earth; therefore, it is up to us to build a foundation of righteous influence in our communities. Coupled with a dynamic manifestation of God’s power, the world will not be able to discredit the evidence that living the “God-kind” of life produces for those who live their life for Him.

We are commissioned to manifest the love of God, the power of God, and the mercy of God in our homes, our churches and our marketplaces. God is looking to inhabit spheres of influence through us so we can take regions for His glory. He said, “…be it on earth as it is in Heaven”. This is a command. If this isn’t a directive from God the Father, then why is it in the Book?

Revelation 5:10 …and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

1. We rule and reign on the earth through the power and leading of Holy Spirit. God has fully equipped us to be kings and priests on this earth (Revelation 1:6). He has given us as the Body of Christ, dominion over the devil and his demonic platforms in the spirit (Luke 16:19).

2. Whatever you bind on earth WILL be bound in heaven (Matthew 18:18) and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Notice that the word “heaven” in Matthew 18:18 isn’t capitalized? Jesus is speaking of the realm of the spirit—the second heaven where spiritual warfare takes place. There is no need to bind and loose anything in Heaven itself because there is no darkness in Heaven that needs to be bound.

3. Life on earth should resemble the kingdom of Heaven and there is no darkness in that kingdom. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:17). There is no fear in Heaven. Heaven-culture is peaceful, lovely, captivating, and joyful. Our lives here on earth should represent the same spiritual qualities.

Jesus has given us authority to tread on scorpions and to have power over ALL the power of the enemy (Luke 16:19). He expects us to be His representatives on the earth. Yes, we are called to shift culture by ministering to a hurting and broken world, but we are also called to disciple those we retrieve from the clutches of darkness. It is our responsibility to preach the Kingdom and encourage those we disciple to do the same in their own spheres of influence. The Scripture says, “Whoever therefore shall break one of the least of these commandments and shall teach others to do so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:19). We are called to be great; therefore, we are to teach kingdom principles to everyone.

4. We make declarations and decrees over our families, our neighborhoods, our jobs, our governing bodies. Jesus said we can have whatsoever we desire when we pray (Mark 11:24). In Heaven, no one goes without anything. Mansions are filled with God’s best. The streets are paved with gold; the bed of the Crystal Sea is covered in rubies, diamonds, emeralds and other precious stones. There is absolutely no lack in Heaven. People eat, drink, dance, enjoy and share everything they have with one another and live in a culture of unity. The Body of Christ is called to live together in unity under the anointing of the Son and we must do more than preach this truth, we have to live it and live it like they do in Heaven.

Even as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). Jesus didn’t leave us comfortless and without resources. He sent us the Holy Spirit of God to assist us, guide us, direct us and empower us to do the will of the Father. And lest we forget, He has overcome the world (John 16:33) and we are joint-heirs with Him in this life, not just the next.

We are to call those things that are not as though they were (Romans 4:17). If we know that Jesus has called us to kingdom living then we need to declare and decree those things that produce kingdom living. The Bible says we are to call those things that are not as though they were [already done]. We can safely surmise from this scripture that we shift culture by speaking to it. Jesus said we have not because we ask not. Well, now it is time to ask; to declare; to decree; and to expect that what we are confessing is going to come to pass!

Why we need to shift culture for God.

Jesus is coming back for a glorified Body; and saint’s, He cannot come back while we are warring among ourselves (1 Corinthians 3:3; 1 Corinthians 11:18). We have got to find a place of agreement and shifting darkened mindsets from ignorance to the goodness of the Father is an easy thing for all of us in the Body of Christ to agree upon. Jesus made it quite plain when He said in the Word that the world would know Him by our love for one another. Are we there yet?

There are hundreds and hundreds of denominations in the world today; each denomination teaching and preaching something slightly different than another. Some preach repentance from dead works but have no manifestation of Holy Spirit in their congregations. Their parishioners are sick and poor and many are dying early. Then there are other denominations that teach on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and on the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but they live in bondage to hatred, jealousy and backbiting. Praying in tongues and casting out devils doesn’t make one spiritually mature. Even people who move in more than one of the nine gifts of the Spirit can be carnally-minded.

With so many voices in the church world and each one vying for acknowledgement (or for a personal endorsement from this group or that group) it can be a challenge to find principles we can all agree upon; but surely we can all agree upon creating Heaven-culture on the earth? The world needs Heavenly principles taught by the Body of Christ to live successfully and the church needs Heavenly principles in operation before it will ever see a rapture. Jesus said to preach the “Kingdom” and then He would return for His Bride. How in the world can Jesus come for a bride that looks like we do now? Currently, we are limited in our ability as a group to manifest His glory on a national and international scale because of the divisions still apparent in the Church. So until we clean up our own house and remove the disunity from within our own walls, the rapture isn’t coming anytime soon; so we might as well roll up our rapture rugs and get about the business of the Kingdom. It is time to take our places as king’s and priests unto our God so we can shake the gates of hell to its very core and TAKE dominion over darkness. We are called to subdue and dominate in this earth; Jesus made this clear in the Word.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God (Romans 8:14); so we must act like sons. How do we begin walking as sons of God?

1. We must be in right-standing with God.
2. We must be in constant fellowship with God.
3. We must be in the Word of God DAILY; taking His prescription for divine health and victorious living in these last days. How can we raise up anointed schools, anointed businesses and God-directed governments if we as a Body are slaves to bondage?
4. We must KNOW who we are in Christ Jesus; we are joint-heirs with God. We are His offspring and we are called to represent Him in the earth and to be people who walk in love towards others and manifest His plans and purposes for the world.
5. We are to annihilate the enemy with the Word of God and we are to work with God’s mighty warring Army, the host’s of Heaven to tear down demonic strongholds.
6. We are to take territory from the enemy through decrees and declarations; proclaiming God’s perfect will for our homeland, our families and our individual lives.
7. We are to live in an atmosphere of gratitude for God’s amazing love and His gift to us through Jesus Christ who has made us partakers of His wonderful grace.
8. We are to continue in the faith until He decides it is time for the trumpet to be blown and the saint’s are to be called home for life in the ever after—until then, we are to war against the demonic and glorify God with our daily walk.

The Church as a corporate body has failed to grasp exactly what God has been asking her to do since the days Jesus walked upon the earth. Jesus told us to take dominion. The commission to subdue the earth and take dominion first began with Adam and Eve in the garden, but even though they failed, their failure didn’t negate the will of God for this planet. Jesus Christ is the second Adam and He came to fulfill the plans and purposes of God, not to walk away from them—many individuals in the Body of Christ have done a disservice to the Kingdom of God by living life from the doctrines of the rapture and thus refusing to engage in kingdom principles that will advance kingdom living here on the earth. We are commanded in the Word of God to push back the darkness and to make way for the return of our King, the Lord Jesus. Jesus didn’t say to the disciples, preach the baptism of faith and I’ll return. He didn’t say, preach baptism from dead works then I’ll return. He didn’t say to His follower’s; “Preach the baptism of repentance so I can return”. He commanded them to preach the gospel of the KINGDOM. He said to preach the kingdom!

There is no baptism of faith in Heaven, we acquire that here. There is no baptism from dead works in Heaven; we learn to produce fruit from His Spirit right here. There is no baptism of repentance in Heaven; if you don’t repent here, you won’t even see a Heaven, much less be accepted by God. We are called to preach on the Kingdom of Heaven and Jesus has given us multiple examples of what Heaven looks like through the parables he gave to the disciples. Does this mean that we negate the call to repent? Do we extinguish the call to produce godly fruit from righteous living? Are we to abort the message of faith? Of course not! All of these teachings help us to sustain holy living, but we are to preach the Kingdom of God to a lost and dying world as He commanded us to and THEN He will come in the clouds on a white horse of glory and finally get us out of here! Therefore, it is imperative that we understand the Kingdom—how it operates—and how we use kingdom principles to produce dynamic results in daily living here, so we can teach others to do the same and shift culture.

We really enjoy our assignment to teach kingdom principles at What You Will™; but as much as we enjoy taking territory from the enemy and marking it for God’s purposes, just like the next person, we would like to get out of here and move onto our forever home with God in Heaven; but certain conditions have to be met before God is going to take us all out of here.

Dear children, preach the Kingdom.

Don’t Tolerate Sickness!

When you know who you are in Christ, you don’t tolerate sickness and disease.

I could stop right there with that revelation alone and add, ‘The End’; but I digress. Notice the above sentence reads “when you know who you are…”

Scripture teaches us to call those things that are not as thought they were (Romans 4:17). But I like to quote Romans 4:17 this way: “I call those things that are not as though they already are”, present tense.

Why do I quote Romans 4:17 this way? Because as a believer, I choose to live and operate through Jesus Christ in the “now”. I do not live in the past. I became a new creature in Christ when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I am a new creature in Christ—present tense (2 Corinthians 5:17). I know that I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus (Romans 3:22). I have already accepted God’s free gift of Love through His death on the cross. I already know that through Him I live, I move and I have my very being (Acts 17:28), so why speak or confess something different than the truth?

I know that He was bruised for my transgressions. I know that the chastisement of my peace was upon Him. I know that by His stripes I am [already] healed. So, if I know these things, then my response to sickness and disease of any kind should reflect what I already know.

Whether the issue before me is redemption from sin through His blood, or protection from sickness and disease, according to the Bible, healing is available to me, now. Praise the Lord!

Blessed children, we have the very Word of Christ at our disposal. The aforementioned scriptures should be at the forefront of our minds and out of our mouths at the slightest hint of sickness and disease. With the internet and cell phones in nearly every purse and pocket, we have instant access to the Word, which is the most important resource we have to crush sickness and disease in faith; so we are without an excuse to subdue the enemy. We have power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19) in every situation and under every circumstance with the authority of God’s Word. Yes, saints, we are that powerful; so powerful we don’t have to tolerate runny noses, allergens or even an upset stomach. Now that’s a revelation of walking in the present, in the now, and in the WOW!

Sickness has no right to rule and reign in our bodies! For the born-again, spirit-filled believer, sickness and disease are demonic intrusions that attempt to trespass against the temples that Jesus paid for with His own blood. We are bought with a price, the blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Corinthians 7:23). And secondly, we are not under the curse because Christ became a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). Sickness and disease are a byproduct of sin; they are not a fact of life—at least not my life, because I’m not receiving that! I’m not tolerating the symptoms of sickness and disease in my life because I don’t have to; Jesus paid a HIGH PRICE for my redemption and when sickness tries to come against me, I rebuke it in the Name of Jesus. I will not be fodder for that nasty ole devil and neither will my body. I will not allow myself to be a punching bag for Satan. Satan has nothing on me. I have sown many prayers for others who have come under attack for the smallest of discomforts and not just the large things like cancer, heart disease and diabetes; and those seeds sown in prayer come with a return, so I am expecting miraculous results in my own life and so should you. I am redeemed and so are you. I do not want my brothers and sisters to be under Satan’s wicked attacks! Saints, we can no longer give place to the devil. If we give him an inch, he will take a mile; so as soon as you feel even the slightest twinge of sickness coming against your body, take authority over it immediately and stand your ground with the Word of God.

Now, let me make this very clear, we have the power and the authority we have because GOD is good. We are nothing without Him in our hearts and we have because He gives. The Bible says, we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19) and because the Word of God is true, we know we can quote His words over our circumstances and expect dynamic results.

Does God speak then not act? Does He promise then not fulfill (Numbers 23:19)?

We can count on Him to keep us healthy at ALL times because He loves us. It would take a sick twisted fruit-loop to say they love someone then leave them with sickness and disease; thankfully, our God is not like some twisted humans; He says what He means and He means what He says. It is we dear brothers and sisters who get the messaging of Jesus messed up. When we listen to the doctrines and the mindsets of men over the messaging of God’s Word, we set ourselves up for failure. God has not called us to fail but to succeed and to be blessed. I don’t know about you, but I have yet to find a scripture where God said sickness and disease are a necessary part of life. It is the thief who comes to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). It is the thief who comes to rob people of their time, their money, and their resources and in some cases, their loved ones.

Now, for those who haven’t exercised their faith muscles to this level don’t lose heart, just begin now; begin somewhere. God knows that for many, a quick call to the doctor or a quick run to the drug store for relief is sometimes easier than trying to stand on faith; but try your best to start somewhere; and if you have to call a doctor or grab a pill, don’t beat yourself up over it. But at least try to take authority over symptoms right away so you can begin stretching those faith muscles. Speaking for myself, I am glad I learned to push through with rebuking even the common cold. Less money for drugs and doctors means more money for me and more money for the kingdom. Woohoo! But no matter where you begin, know that God’s will is always healing and just to drive that truth home, consider Luke the Physician, whom Jesus chose as one of His disciples. Isn’t it interesting that in every account we have where Jesus is healing in the Book of Luke, there isn’t one mention of Luke being called upon to dole out a shot, write a prescription or a give a person a pill? Luke had zero to say about medical healing in his writings about his travel with Jesus. Perhaps we should let that sink in for a minute.

So what’s the point? Don’t tolerate sickness. You don’t have to accept it, succumb to it or invite it into your body. If you are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, then the enemy has no legal authority to harass you in your body—ever! And if you have scriptures already memorized in your arsenal, you can aim those darts at the wicked one and subdue his attacks. There is nothing more powerful than the Holy written Word of God so don’t give place to the devil. Submit yourselves unto God and watch the devil flee (James 4:7). You do not have to accept sickness, disease or infirmity ever saints; the Word of God makes this abundantly clear.

Yes We Can Be Holy

Yes, we can live holy lives. We ask God to forgive and He does; not only does he forgive, but He remembers our sin no more (Hebrews 8:12). The scripture says be ye holy for I am holy (1 Peter 1:16). If it wasn’t possible to be holy then God wouldn’t have commanded us to be holy as He is holy. It is possible. We often hear some people say, “I am a just sinner saved by grace.” There are two schools of thought at play here: (1) I am a sinner and (2) I am saved by grace. We are either one or the other, we cannot be both. Sweet and bitter water cannot come forth from the same fountain. If we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus after repenting of sin, we are under grace; we are no longer under the bondage of sin. Once we’re under grace, we remain under grace and we are told to remain under grace; for God has made us a new creature in Christ; behold, old things have passed away and now we are new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

It is “religion” that keeps people at the cross after accepting salvation. It is “religion” that keeps people in bondage to the past—in bondage to the old man. When we become born-again we are washed in the blood of the Lamb and the old man is cleansed, he is renewed. We are no longer under the bondage of the old—we are no longer just a sinner saved by grace; we become new men in Christ Jesus and therefore, we should walk as new men and women in God. Yes, before we accepted Jesus we were merely sinners; but now we are the redeemed of the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:20) and the law of sin and death no longer applies (Romans 8:2). We are no longer under the curse of sin (Galatians 3:13) for Christ has redeemed us from the curse, being made a curse for us; so now we have the privilege of grace and grace is where we are supposed to remain after we have received God’s precious gift of the cross. We are not to return to the cross every time we have a misstep. We are to go directly to the Father for restoration when we fall short of the glory.

So how do we live holy once we understand we are no longer slaves to sin but we are redeemed to grace? We live according to the instruction of the Word. We accept that we are no longer strangers to the great gospel of grace but now we are grafted into the Family of God (Romans 11:17); and we walk in our title as Children of the Most High. That’s the first step. The second step is to speak the Word. Our words are powerful, we must be careful about what we say—what we confess. We have to go from reading the Word to speaking the Word over our lives. Even medical science has taught us that positive confession has a definite impact on a person’s attitude and character. Positive confessions and positive affirmations foster an environment of victory, whether a person is saved or unsaved. If we hear something often enough it takes root in our soul and when we saturate ourselves in God’s information, then we begin to develop godly character; that information promotes an environment of confidence and we will naturally gravitate towards dispositions and attitudes that reflect godliness. Righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost are attributes of people who have developed holiness in their walk with God (Romans 14:17). The fruits of this holiness are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These fruits are the evidence of holy living.

If we are made in Their image (Genesis 1:26) and through the sacrifice of Jesus we are grafted into the family of God, then we do indeed possess the ability to live holy and thus we are no longer old sinners saved by grace. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21); and if we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, then His DNA runs through our veins and thus His disposition and attitude runs through our spirit. Glory! If a Believer can only see themselves as an ole sinner, they will struggle to accept this truth. It is only after we really understand who we are in Christ that we can begin to allow ourselves to see ourselves the way He sees us: as a holy people, a royal priesthood, (1 Peter 2:9), a member of The Family. Hallelujah! What wonderful news! What an amazing God we serve! This is such great news saints! So let’s not become weary in well-doing. Let’s continue to “work” the Word of God in our lives and see ourselves as He sees us. We are under grace and grace gives us the capacity to receive the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross. Once we leave the cross, we are members of the Royal Family of God and membership has its privileges. We are indeed capable of being holy like Jesus, our sample Son. We can be holy and live holy because He has made us worthy to sit in high places with Him (Ephesians 2:6).

Let us get rid of the “religious” spirit that has held us in bondage, and take our rightful place as son’s and daughters of the Most High God and begin to speak holiness over our lives. Be persistent to do this and when the enemy tries to come against your thinking, remind him of who you really are—you are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, you are no longer a slave to sin. Some days it may not look like we’re the righteousness of God; after all, trials will come and we can sometimes fall into old thinking patterns, but we must bear in mind what HE says about us in the Word. In our own perspective, we may not see ourselves as a holy people and a royal priesthood, but from God’s perspective, we are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus; and therefore, we can be holy.

We must continue reading the Bible; confessing God’s Word over our lives; praying in the Holy Ghost; and making changes to our speech and to our understanding as God develops our faith from glory to glory. Yes, we can live a holy life, but it begins by understanding who we are in Jesus so Holy Spirit can be given full reign to shape and develop our character in a way that produces godly results. The Bible says, “He who is able to bridle his tongue and not offend in word and deed is perfect” (James 3:2). The scripture doesn’t say here that controlling the tongue is impossible; however, we must realize it takes time to develop Biblical thinking patterns that reflect God’s character in us. It will happen if we do not give up on the process. Controlling what comes out of our mouth is critical to having the victory over old mindsets. We must ask Holy Spirit to show us where we may be speaking words of negativity and death over our lives and He will correct us. It will take time to get the flesh “under” the obedience of the Word, but we cannot return to broken thinking. If we have a misstep, we must quickly repent and get back on track with what the Word of God says about us. The Bible says, “Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:4). It’s doable saints; we can have whatsoever we desire when we pray if we believe (Mark 11:24) and we know Jesus desires that we walk like Him in ‘word’ and in ‘deed’. So praise God! With Him truly ALL things are possible! Let’s seek to be holy like Jesus and trust God with the process; we are no longer sinners; we are indeed saved by grace.

Are You Frozen?

Are you in a jam or going through a major battle? Is there heavy warfare? Does your situation look bleak but God is telling you to obey?

The end result may look bleak, but you know you have to trust God. You know it’s the only way to victory.

It can be hard to take a step forward, but when we freeze in fear and indecision, we block the blessing.

God cannot take over unless we relinquish control.

So how do you get unstuck?

Picture a friend, a family member or a colleague in the same situation. Now imagine that person has to make an immediate decision–there’s no room for delay.

What do you say to them?

Now, give yourself that same speech. Speak it out loud for your own ears to hear it.

Once you follow this simple instruction, you will become unstuck. You will be positioned to make a decision and God will move.

You will have peace and you’ll be on the way to victory!

Focus on Souls – Receiving Honor and Offerings the Kingdom Way

Who deserves the greatest honor above all else in this life and in that which is to come? It’s Jesus. Our Heavenly Father even said Himself that Jesus has been given the Name that is above every name (Philippians 2:8-11). There is no name in heaven or in the earth that is more glorious, more powerful, more prestigious and more perfect than the Name of Jesus and we here at What You Will™ know this to be true. But there is also an honor given to the children of men, those in the household of faith, who tread the grapes and pour out the new wine upon the Body of Christ through ministry and prayer and giving. Last night, What You Will™ received a letter from an individual about something they noticed at a Christian convention they recently attended. A teachable moment presented itself for this individual while asking Jesus for understanding about giving honor where honor is due, specifically, for a man of God who was preaching a session at this convention. Jesus used the opportunity to teach this individual about giving honor and about the difference between receiving an offering and receiving an “Offering”. What this individual learned through this lesson from Jesus was that when we seek to keep our focus on the word of God and the message of Jesus Christ, honor will come naturally. And offerings if any, though not always what we think they should be, to God those offerings may be the most significant to the kingdom.

This testimony encompasses two specific themes: one, giving honor to whom honor is due according to scripture; and secondly, understanding how the Favor of God was poured upon a preacher who made souls the focus of his message; and how God used both to bestow His glory on a preacher of the gospel for the benefit of an onlooker who thought the preacher was being slighted.

We believe the lesson learned by this precious believer succinctly ties in with one of the many kingdom principles taught at What You Will™ and we hope you will agree. We have been given the letter to share here with the author’s permission.

A Lesson on Focus – Giving Honor to Whom Honor is Due
What Jesus showed me about an offering and an “Offering”

It is not uncommon in some church settings to see people walk up to the altar or to the steps of a church where a preacher is speaking and drop off an offering. You know, just lay it down on the steps while the preacher is preaching—no offering plate or bucket, you just lay it on the floor or at the altar near the preacher. I like churches that allow this.

During a convention I have been attending this week all the speakers have received offerings this way except for one and I was asking God about it. I said, “That’s kind of odd. There’s nothing wrong with this man’s preaching; he’s on fire!” Then the Lord said, “They don’t think he needs the money.” (This particular preacher is very rich. He has been greatly blessed and is famous for giving away as much as he gets.) I said, “Whatever, don’t these dummies realize that the offerings are going into the same pot to be evenly distributed among all the speakers at the end of the convention?” Then I said, “Lord, I don’t want him to be the only one who doesn’t receive offerings the same way as the others have; it doesn’t seem right.” So I began to loose offerings for him in the Name of Jesus. And the Lord said, “Those empty steps sitting behind him don’t faze him; he doesn’t care one way or the other” said to the Lord, “and I will show you.” I said, “OK.”

So the man of God delivered his sermon this evening, every bit as powerful as the last one and still, no offerings or cash lying on the steps behind him as he preached. It was getting late so as he was bringing his message to an end I was still wondering about the empty steps behind him, but just as he was closing, Holy Ghost power broke out and prophesy began flooding from his spirit. People were being called out from the audience and Holy Spirit was reading their mail in glorious ways! Holy Spirit was also healing people throughout the auditorium and I was like, “Wow! Look at that! Glory!” but God wasn’t done yet. After the dust settled a bit, the preacher gave an altar call and I was thinking, “Oh no he didn’t!” I had yet to see this at the end of any of the sessions from the other speakers. The people began to pour into the altar.

Over 100 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and I said, “Lord! He just received the greatest offering ever! Over 100 souls just received into the kingdom of heaven and it will be remembered for all of eternity!” And the Lord said to me, “In one service he received the greatest offering that could ever be received into the ministry; because for him, souls are the greatest offering he could ever receive, and that’s how I chose to honor him for his faithfulness to Me.”

I am blessed to have had the Lord’s ear for this personal spiritual teaching and I am blessed to have seen the hand of God at work during the sermon of this godly preacher who kept his eyes on Jesus and gave no thought to what was or wasn’t left on a few steps. That preacher was exalted by the Lord God Himself this evening and I witnessed it. That preacher was Jesse Duplantis.

Increase Power – Live Holy

No one can walk in kingdom authority without first cleansing himself of sin that so easily besets (Hebrews 12:1). God is seeking a people who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24). Those that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). We must be in right-standing with God if we are to handle much power in the kingdom. If we are first faithful with little, then He will make us ruler over much (Matthew 25:23).

These truths aren’t posted here to fill up space on a blog thread, they are placed here to pierce the soul and bring us to further understanding about the operation of the kingdom and how to walk in faith with authority.

It is okay to make a few mistakes as we learn to grow in our authority. We simply repent for error and then go forward with God, but we create a real problem for ourselves when we place concepts and ideologies before the Word of God and then try to rule and reign with Christ on this earth. We are indeed ambassadors of Jesus, called to set the captive free, deliver the sick from oppression and to be a place of refuge for those seeking release from spiritual bondage; but we cannot in good conscience help anyone nor further the gospel of the kingdom of Jesus Christ by allowing false doctrines and uncleanliness into our own lives. The scripture says, “Be ye holy as I am holy” (I Peter 1:16). This should be a part of daily living for the heirs of God. Every day we need to place ourselves under the authority of the Holy Spirit and set our own house in order before we share with others how to do the same for themselves. Holy Spirit will not tolerate sloppy kingdom work and neither should we.

Let us be faithful to Him first so we do not grieve His precious Spirit and then we will be useful to the kingdom. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 says, “Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.”

Let us examine ourselves today dear brethren and lay aside every weight so we may continue to pursue godliness and take territory for the kingdom with a pure conscience. We at What You Will™ are agreeing with you to exalt the Name of the Lord in both word and deed.

Now, go occupy and destroy the unfruitful works of the enemy in Jesus’ Name!
To God be the glory!

Faith – the ultimate kingdom principle

Faith without works is dead. James 2:26

Without faith, the desire to understand kingdom principles doesn’t hold much value. Kingdom principles are principles from heaven; they are not man-made principles founded on man’s natural thinking. They are not tangible principles. You cannot see them with your natural eyes. They are spiritually discerned and spiritually understood (I Corinthians 2:14).

Jesus spoke of kingdom principles as He spoke the oracles of God in the synagogue at the age of thirteen and throughout His entire ministry traveling with His disciples. The whole principle of being born-again is a heavenly concept. Like everything Jesus taught, Salvation itself is a kingdom principle. Jesus said to inherit eternal life a man has to be born-again (John 3:7); Nicodemus said to Jesus, “How can a man be born-again? How can he return to his mother’s womb a second time?” (John 3:4) Jesus was speaking of a spiritual birth–a rebirth–fleeing sin and corruption for repentance and new life in Him. It takes faith to believe that having eternal life is as simple as asking to be born-again. It’s a simple confession from the mouth that grants us eternity with the Creator. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:31) It’s so simple to inherit eternal life some people struggle with the validity of such an easy prayer of faith, but the Heavenly Father has designed Salvation just this way for a reason. It takes faith to believe in the Creator and it is supposed to be easy to receive Salvation. Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

So, what does this have to do with James 2:26; faith without works is dead? Faith is more than just a spiritual concept; it is also an action word in the kingdom of God. Nothing in the kingdom of heaven is spoken, breathed, transferred, orchestrated or conceived without faith. Nothing. God Himself used faith to create the heavens and the earth. He used faith to form Adam and breathe life into his nostrils. God used faith when He gave Adam and Eve dominion over the earth, to dominate it and subdue it. God used faith to raise up Abraham, Moses, King David, the land of Israel, His very own Son Jesus and the billions who have chosen to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. So, if God Himself is a doer of faith who operates in faith and speaks in faith, then how much more should we? We cannot be about the Father’s business without the operation of faith.

What You Will™ is a faith-based ministry teaching believers kingdom principles that deliver dynamic results. We are specifically committed to these essential concepts for victory in Christian living: equipping the believer with kingdom principles that produce spiritual growth; teaching the child of God how to occupy in his or her sphere of influence; and encouraging God’s people to demonstrate their faith in the written Word of God with supernatural evidence.

Our lives should resemble the life of Jesus Christ, who walked in power and kingdom authority; taught his disciples how to dominate and destroy the works of darkness; and also bore the fruits of authority: success over struggles, victory over sickness and disease, and rescuing souls from the kingdom of darkness.
